Budapest Sights, Sounds and Hotels

Kiralyi Palota, commonly known as Budavari Palota or Buda Castle Palace, with its central dome, governs the Buda skyline. This striking structure was the royal residence of Hungarian Kings for 700 years, during which time it has sadly been demolished, burned, bombed, redesigned and rebuilt several times. The Royal Palace was first ruined during a seven-week siege in 1944. The destruction was immeasurable, but archaeologists and art historians were given a chance to discover the medieval structures that stood once on the location of this Baroque/neo-Baroque palace, and to reconstruct the 18th and early 20th-century fusion that can be found on the southern end of Castle Hill today. The former Royal Palace is home to Budapest’s most noteworthy public anthologies, as well as archeological excavations from the palaces of the middle ages. The inspiring National Gallery, the National Library, the Budapest History Museum and many other inspiring establishments are located here.

Before you pack your bags and hurry of to Hungary to visit the Buda Castle Palace, and the other special features of Budapest, find out a bit more about Budapest city, maybe dig up some Budapest history and take a look at some of the fine Budapest hotels.
